Hoje, aqui no rectângulo, celebra-se, o início da liberdade política e de expressão, que se confirmou noutro 25, o de novembro de 76, e que se continua a construir ainda hoje. Pois podemos ser ainda mais livres. Aqui e em todo o lado.

Li aqui o que se segue e também não posso deixar de concordar.

"Me ocorrem estas reflexões ao saber que o consagrado violinista norte-americano Joshua Bell, de 39 anos, a convite do jornal The Washington Post, aceitou executar composições em uma estação de metrô da capital norte-americana. A idéia do jornal - leio no noticiário on line - era descobrir se a beleza seria capaz de chamar a atenção num contexto banal e num momento inadequado. Para executar sua música, Bell usou um Stradivarius de 1713, avaliado em U$ 3,5 milhões. Ao longo dos 43 minutos em que tocou, mal conseguiu arrecadar 32,17 dólares. Caso se apresentasse no Boston Symphony Hall, os amantes de boa música não hesitariam em pagar 100 dólares por um assento apenas razoável.

A experiência proposta pelo Washington Post mostra, definitivamente, que as pessoas não se emocionam com a grande arte, mas com a pompa que a envolve. De tempos em tempos, temos notícia que foi encontrado um quadro em algum antiquário, avaliado em quatro ou cinco dólares. Surge então um expert e atesta que o quadro é de um algum Van Gogh da vida. Imediatamente sua cotação sobe para milhões de dólares. A pergunta se impõe: o valor residiria no quadro ou na assinatura de quem o pintou? Cultuamos o belo? Ou a griffe?"

I think that the outer space radiation hitting earth has much more to do with the climate change than the arrogant IPCC assertions about human driven climate.

As the earth orbiting the sun results in four seasons, also the solar system orbiting the via lactea center may result in different "galactic seasons" as it passes through different cosmic radiation fields.
To this "galactic seasons" could correspond the different hot and ice ages that earth has experienced and also to the life evolutionary milestones... well, I'm no scientist and I'm digressing to much, so why don't you read more about it on the Telegraph and TimesOnline?

"The lost town of Ourém has a sad history marked by ancient wars. Built in the 13th century inside the walls of the Castle of Ourém, this town sits on a high hill. In the 1380s, Queen Leonora persuaded her husband, King Ferdinand, to give the castle to her French lover, Andeiro, along with the title of Count of Ourém. When Fernando died without heir, the nation turned on the unpopular queen. Rebel knights murdered Andeiro and burned the castle and town. In 1807, French forces sacked and pillaged the town, and it fell into total ruin. Today, a few of Ourém’s houses have been restored as lodgings for visitors, and they say the charred castle is still haunted by the murdered Frenchman Andeiro."
